Rope Tales is pleased to present Ropu Nawa and Freya Hellesdim in Milan.
We are happy to host an event with a different perspective about shibari, from two teachers who developed a very peculiar style and are ready to share the knowledge they acquired developing a signature tie: their Tenshi.
Ropu Nawa started his journey as a student of Naka Akira Sensei. He developed his peculiar style from the very traditional ties he learned in the beginning of his career. We believe this transformation can be interesting from a cultural standpoint, and technincally inspiring for traditional kinbaku practitioners and modern shibari entusiasts alike.

This tie is versatile, it enables many new possibilities to transmit emotions and intentions.

During the Workshop we are diving deeper into the basic Structure of the Tenshi’s, learning different ways to handle the leftover rope and looking into different ways to handle the Uplines. Playing on the floor, with partials and even Suspension to understand the Tenshi’s in different Situations. We will have a closer look into the Safety of this tie and also explaining the History, where it comes from and how it evolved.
